We know people have questions, that’s why we have prepared this section to answer a few of the most common ones. If you have further questions, not listed below, feel free to get in touch and we will be happy to help.
As Brokers, we are paid by the lenders for introducing new customers. There are NO charges for our services.
Brokers are here with a stockpile of knowledge and contacts. It is our job to help you from start to finish with research, paperwork, communicating with the lender and finally settlement. We handle all of the paperwork and communication for you to ensure a smooth and easy process.
Often, Brokers have relationships with various lenders. We go through a process of accreditation with each lender which builds trust and opens the door to beneficial rates and services. Get in touch today and we will see if we can negotiate on your behalf.
Lenders gain accreditation to join broker groups and offer their products through brokers.
As a member of Finsure broker group, Smartloans has access to a panel of 75 lenders across home loans, commercial loans, and asset finance.
While a large lender panel provides flexibility to find solutions to client’s needs, in reality we use 12-14 lenders on a regular basis.
Best Industry Duty or BID is a legal obligation for brokers to act in the best interest of clients, not the lender.
Wherever possible, we recommend 3-5 of the best lender options that suit your needs.
Generally price (interest rate) is used to rank the best options available, but there are circumstances where other factors are used to rank lenders, such as policy restrictions or turn around times.
As an example, if you need finance approval within 14 days; we may exclude lenders that are taking more than 14 days for approval despite the interest rate they offer.
We believe in giving back to our local community. We support a range of charities, community groups and sporting clubs.
